The 5smd bulb is by far the best bulb for lighting the gauges but either bulb does the job well.
I bought a 4 of these a few weeks ago to replace the original incandescent lamps in my autometer gauges.
Get it as soon as wed.
Replaces 161 193 194 168 style wedge base bulbs only.
However the boost gauge doesn t.
We highly recommend using either the 5smd bulbs or our 5xs bulbs for your gauge cluster lighting.
I hooked up the dimmer module to the trucks dimmer switch and the pyrometer gauge and trans temp gauge dim when you dim the dash lights.
